PEOPLE
- Paul
Fenton, Director of the Limited Society (ISSB, SL), former
Peace Corps volunteer (Costa Rica 1983-1985), over 15 years experience
in education and transfer of know-how projects, he is a consultant on
e-Learning for the Open University of Catalonia, former consultant for
UNESCO, and has just finished heading the Open and Distant Learning
component on a European Commission-funded project for the Russian Ministry
of Education and Science (www.delphi-project.ru).
Paul is now involved in another EC project called @languages, with the
Open University of Catalonia and partners in Greece, Czech Republic,
Spain and Italy
- Maria
Dolores Galvez, partner in the Limited Society, coordinator
of programs, licensed in Spanish Philology, over 15 years experience
in management and organization of education and cultural studies and
exchange programs
- Ana
Pineda, long-time associate, academic supervisor, university
professor of Spanish literature (US, Miami) and in Spain. Over 15 years
experience working in education and overseas programs. Degree in Hispanic
Philology at the University Central of Barcelona (UB). Masters in Literature
from the UB and Hispanic Literature at the University Menéndez
Pelayo of Santander. Ana studied her Doctorate at the University of
Miami, USA, specializing in Spansh prose of the XXth century. She has
published various articles in Spanish called Tiempos de Silencio (Universidad
de Granada, 1986); María José Furió (Romance Language,
1999) y Juan Gil-Albert (Simposio Internacional de Literatura y Sociedad,
2004). She co-edited "Archipiélago: New Writing from and
about the Caribbean” (Conjuntions, 27, 1996) and has translated
Inspiration and Poetry, from C.M. Bowra (2005). Currently, she is professor
at La Escola d´Historia de l´art, de La casa Elizalde and
is our specialist here at ISSB for our ongoing collaboration with ITESM
(Tec de Monterrey, México).
